The Porter Family Farm puts on such awesome cattle events! Everything runs super smooth and they make it beginner-friendly, so anyone can jump in and have a great time. The whole experience is fun, welcoming, and really well done. Definitely worth checking out! (Kaylee Bean)
The Introduction to Cow Sorting clinic transformed my Arab from a flighty terrified bundle of nerves who has always believed cows are undercover assassins to a confident cow-horse who was pleased as punch to realize he could actually boss those would-be assassins around! The atmosphere was relaxed and accepting of all riders and horses, no matter what our issues were. Truly a transformational experience for us since the fear of coming across a cow while on a ride USED TO BE a real stressor. (Teri Bullis)
Brought my teenage daughter to an event at the Porters, had a great time. Day full of laughs and memories, she was thrilled with the goodies she won. Met some really good knowledgeable folks that we then attended a clinic the following month. Thank you guys so much for doing these events and bringing like minded people together. (Tarasue Levesque)
Absolutely enjoyed the time and atmosphere there when I went with my mare, everyone was so friendly and welcoming! (Gianna Holcomb)
I have attended two of the Porter Family Farm sorting clinics, this is all new to me. I attended one with a horse that had done plenty of sorting and then one recently on my as green as I mare. I cannot say enough about Anne and Anna, they are patient with both the rider and the horse. Both clinics were a pleasant experience that makes you want to do more. It was a pleasure learning and plan to continue learning from them! (Shelley Frisch)
The Porter Family Farm has one key word in their name… Family! As someone who is has only been participating in sortings for about a year, I look back on how much I have grown and how my Family circle as well. As a newbie in the industry, but someone who has been competing all my life, I know how intimidating it can be. However that couldn’t be farther from the truth with the Porter Family and the events they put on. I was hooked after my first clinic. Not only because I enjoy the sport, but the people you surround yourself with make all the highs and lows worth it! Whether you’re green in the sport or a seasoned competitor, The Porter Family treats you all the same. With open arms and encouragement! (Johanna Winterburn)
Participating in The Porter Family Farm's cow sorting clinic was amazing! The family is knowledgeable and fun, and most importantly makes you feel safe and comfortable while learning to sort cows. The atmosphere of the clinic is definitely a learning environment so there was no pressure to go fast. The jackpot rounds are lively and well organized to keep everyone moving along. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get into sorting for the first time, or looking to improve! (Jen Duffy)
The Porter Family Farm does an amazing job at providing well organized events that offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere and makes you feel like you’re part of the family even though it was your first time sorting cattle. Wonderful time with wonderful people! (Andrea Galuska)
